It was a pleasant experience as usual for my 99 year old father. The only problem was the 3 pieces of sticky tape used to hold the bandage. Usually a rubber tape is used similar to an Ace bandage. This sticky tape is difficult to remove from the "thin" skin of elderly patients. It caused him a lot of pain & bleeding when removing this tape an hour later at home. He takes a blood thinner, Coumadin, (thus the prothrombin-time check) and bleeds easy. This is not intended as criticism as everything else was very good. Perhaps it might be wise to teach the phlebotimist about eldery patients thin skin tearing/bleeding.
