Waltersville School serves over 500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. It provides the Cello Program, which serves more than 100 students. The school is funded through the Music and Arts Center for Humanities through the John Mayer Foundation and the United Way. Waltersville School offers after-school dance program for students in grades five and six. The school provides a variety of performing arts program. It also offers ballet, violin, band and African drums instruction for students. Waltersville School operates a dental clinic, computer laboratory and the Family Resource Center. Its academic curriculum includes math and provides English as a Second Language and special education programs. Waltersville School is governed by Bridgeport Public Schools in Connecticut.
