Excellent experience at OMC. The Medical and Administrative staff were courteous, caring and informative.

This hospital has saved my life twice in 20 months. However, in my most recent 2 visits this year, 2016, I have been greatly disappointed in the PCT staff members. They do not relay messages to the Nurses as they are supposed to. One PCT took my blood pressure which registered unusually high. She refused to retake it and did not report it to the nurse. When I finally saw the nurse, she was disturbed that the PCT hadn't told her about it. In March 2016, I had minor toe surgery and was diagnosed with MRSA in that toe a week later. I am now undergoing a 42 day IV antibiotic therapy protocol because of the MRSA. They obviously do not clean and sterilize their OR's the way they should. The woman who inserts PIC lines almost killed me by trying to insert it in the same vein that my pacemaker leads go through. She only had 2 patients to insert PIC lines into that day and knew one of them had a pacemaker, but assumed it was the old man, not me. Very serious mistake.

this happens to be the only hospital in the area of Central New Jersey that can take care of me and my very first time coming here to OMC was when i got assaulted by some crazy classmate @ Coastal Learning Center and Ocean Medical Center did such an awesome job the staff and doctors here @ OMC are really nice people and they were very nice to me and they also got me a taxi ride home after discharge and OMC did such a better job than Jersey Shore and OMC also did such a better job than Monmouth Medical Center and OMC also did such a better job than Centrastate but i really do wish i was still living in NYC and my doctor here @ OMC is great but i wish to move back to Long island
