Being a resident of brick New Jersey for over 13 years I have to say brick utility are a bunch of crooks. There shut off policy in general should be illegal. Recently they shut down the town of brick for small outstanding balances instead of offering them the opportunity to pay said balance is they forced them by having automatic shut offs. To make matters worse their policy is that when their henchmen comes to your door he doesn't collect money which forces you to go through the disconnection process thus tallying up a nice hefty $50 service charge despite wanting to pay there man at the door. Furthermore and even worse when you call to pay you would think they were with modern times and would take payment over the phone no you have to take a day off of work to then drive into their location where you're greeted by bullet proof glass a true sign of failed policy when you see bulletproof glass at your local water company... And pay them personally. And then it gets better! Then you can just forget about going back to work because they will now make you wait in the afternoon in a three hour window for their service man to turn around and come back and turn you back on... This policy is absolutely ridiculous and borderline illegal. This is a total shake down this is without a late notice or a disconnection notice.

But they are very comfortable and cozy with their Nazi like attitude about payment due to the fact that they're the only game in town and not even under the jurisdiction of the mayor rather their own trustees... Must be nice. They cost me a lost wages for a day to collect $200 that wasn't even due yet... Anyone else have problems with Rick utility?
