When Geofon Incorporated was initially founded in 1983, the firm provided a range of geotechnical and environmental services to a variety of public and private clients throughout Southern California. The firm has greatly expanded its technical and geographical coverage, offering environmental engineering and remediation, civil construction and regulatory compliance for federal, local government and commercial clients throughout the Western United States. Geofon has also added regulatory, policy and processing services for the food industry. A significant portion of Geofon s business (more than $100 million) has come from its relationship with the United States Department of Defense, which dates back to 1984. The company also works with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
