I went into the office and was immediately asked for my paperwork and I explained I was never asked to bring any in. After a heavy sigh and slight eye roll the class act at the front desk gave me the paperwork to complete. When I returned the completed paperwork to her she snapped. She asked me if I had expected them to give me a physical. I was a little surprised by the question since I assumed that I would get a physical. When I said I supposed so she huffed and said I was only scheduled for a new patient appointment. "Well, okay what is the difference?". Loudly she asked me repeatedly if I wanted a physical or not and again I said I suppose I do since I had some things I wanted checked. After some more heaving sighing she asked for my credit card, informed me that my copay is $40, and then after shoving my card back at me and without so much as glancing my way she said "Go to suite 102". I happily leave and go to suite 102 where I hope I won't have to deal with this woman again. I am not in that room two minutes before she bursts through the door looking ready to tell me off and shoving my paperwork in my face. "You can't have a physical and talk to the doctor about problems! You have problems? You can't discuss that during a physical!". Again, I asked her for the difference. She just kept repeating that they aren't the same thing. I asked her why would I schedule an appt without having something to discuss with the doctor. She rolled her eyes. Then she told me if I wanted to talk to the doctor about any concerns or chief complaints that would cost me more. At this point I had enough. I asked her to refund my copay. I was so embarrassed and just shocked to have been treated with such disrespect. The thing that really bothered me about this entire interaction- not one other person in that office looked up at her raising her voice to me. No one bothered to offer their help or even look in my direction. I am guessing mistreating people is a common occurrence here.
