King Optical is actually on School St. WEST. It's a great small business with good prices on glasses. No appointment needed, they are walk-in. My favorite is they do most repairs of glasses for FREE!!! Do check hours before you go.

very friendly service and very fast! had my brand new glasses done by the next day:) also, im in there all the time with my 7 y/o son's glasses and they have fixed them everytime. great place if you want quick, friendly service or repairs that dont cost an arm and a leg!

King Optical is different from any other optical shop I have been into. The people working there are not only professional and knowledgeable, but they take the time to get to know you and help you decide which frame looks best, or will fit best according to your individual prescription. I did not feel rushed, and I never felt like they were trying to sell me something I did not need. For first time customers, it may be a little tricky to find, but if you call the number on the business card, someone is always there to help direct you. Although it looks like a tiny house, there are 2 floors, each with several rooms, and over hundreds of frames to decide from (all within more than reasonable prices). If they do not have a frame in stock, just ask an optician if they can order it for you and if they can, most times, their price beats competitors prices. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant, and it was a very easy and enjoyable experience.
