      At age 7, Dr. Christopher Davis suffered a ruptured appendix which resulted in a nearly fatal month-long hospitalization. That experience forever changed his life. The gratitude and appreciation for the physicians who had operated on him fostered his determination to pursue medicine. During his medical training, he developed an interest in interventional cardiology as this was an exciting field that made an immediate impact in the lives of patients with heart disease. In recent years, Davis who is a board certified interventional cardiologist has also developed an interest in integrative cardiology incorporating nutritional metabolic support in the treatment of many of his cardiovascular patients. Although he enjoys performing many lifesaving cardiovascular procedures, he is also passionate about the prevention of underlying heart and vascular disease. Spending time getting to know his patients is crucial to how Davis practices medicine. Understanding what is going on in their lives is important because classic cardiac symptomslack of energy, chest pain and shortness of breathcan also result from other issues such as sleep deprivation or anxiety. Davis sees the ability to discern true causes as the art of medicine. To address cardiovascular and other underlying issues, he also offers evidence-based strategies with new technology, such BEMER therapy, nutritional counseling with a certified functional nutritionist, and herbal preparations and nutritional supplements. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University-Sinai Hospital where he served as Chief Medical Resident. He completed his fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at University of Virginia. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Davis has been repeatedly honored as one of Americas Top Doctors by the prestigious Top Doctors list published annually.
