I’d like to share my gratitude to Maple Shade Vet hospital and especially Sue Battel, dog trainer. My fur baby, Shana, is a rescue pit/boxer mix and even though she is a love bug with her immediate family she has an anxiety that keeps her from trusting others. Over the past three years, I have had her to basic training, spoke with several trainers that weren’t a good fit and even a vet behavioralist who referred us to more trainers. Unfortunately those trainers would not work with us. Feeling hopeless feeling we couldn’t find the help we needed we were lucky enough to be referred by a friend to Maple Shade Vet Hospital and Sue. We have been working with Sue now for a couple of months and are already seeing positive changes, Shana is doing so well. and best of all we are, for the first time in a long time, hopeful. And I am becoming more confident with my dog. Sue is genuine and so dedicated. She is helping us communicate with our fur baby and building a trust for Shana. We can’t thank Sue enough for working with us and giving us a chance. She is ultimately saving my dog’s life!
We travel all the way from Newtown PA for our appointments with Sue. I typically wouldn’t travel that far but this dog training is definitely worth it! Thank you!

Dr. Heller is still great but since VCA took over the rest of the staff is awful, never offer emergency appointments, no one knows what's going on.

Before VCA took over this place was great with caring Doctors but now it's all went down hill. Double check with all the other VCA clinics around and see the horrible reviews. Very uncoordinated office, make an appointment and you might actually have it on record when you get there or you might not. In my 5 visits since VCA took over I have not waited for less than an hour with one appointment taking nearly an hour and a half. If you do have an appointment that they can find your chart gets put into a pile of other charts waiting to be seen by a doctor. Your not seen according to your appointment either they get to you when they get to you. Several times I was there for an appointment and people with appointments after mine were taken before me because I unfortunately got stuck in the slow doctors pile. It sounds backwards but when this office just accepted walk ins not appointments you actually got seen quicker. Sad as my dogs have gone here their entire lives but no more we will be looking elsewhere.

I have used this vet twice so far. It is great that compassionate, affordable vet care has walk in hours available. They can see me in an urgent situation & they understand I have a loyalty to another vet who has taken care of my pets for over a decade. I was very impressed and expect to be back. I took my cat there & saw Dr. Heller on a walk in basis. I wish I had known about them before.
