The Fire Division provides fire protection, hazardous material response, and rescue squad and advance life support services for emergencies. It also offers fire suppression and investigation services. The division additionally provides education and code enforcement services for fire prevention. The Fire Division issues ceremonial burn, blasting and fireworks permits. It conducts home fire safety and industrial inspections. The division installs smoke detectors in rental units. The Fire Division conducts hydrant flow tests to check operating condition and determine amount of available water. It is a part of the Safety Department, which operates the Bowling Green, OH Police Division. The Safety Department is governed by the City of Bowling Green in Ohio.
