- Behavioral CounselingHolly is the clinics longest employed member of our staff, and is committed to a career in veterinary services. She began working at our clinic as a senior in high school in February 2005. She left our clinic in June 2008 to pursue and gain additional experience and knowledge in animal behavior and training, and then returned to our clinic in January 2009.
- Nutritional CounselingThis is the most common blood test performed on pets and people. A Complete Blood Count, or CBC, provides information on hydration status, anemia, infection, blood clotting ability and immune system response. This test is essential for pets that have symptoms like fever, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, pale gums or loss of appetite. If your pet needs surgery, a CBC can detect bleeding disorders or other unseen abnormalities.

- Parasites Treatment and ControlFlea & Tick: We employ various safe and effective flea & tick prevention and treatment methods for your dog's health and comfort
- Pain ManagementDepending on the procedure, the post-surgery pain medication will be dispensed. Many of our surgical procedures go home with pain medication. Pets that have had spays, neuters, wound repairs, and mass removals will frequently go home with pain medication. With dental cleanings, they don't always need them afterward. And those will be discussed with you both before and after the procedure.

- Diabetes TreatmentGlucose (GLU): Glucose is a blood sugar. Elevated levels may indicate diabetes mellitus. Low levels can cause collapse, seizures or coma.
- Thyroid Disease TreatmentThyroxine (T4): Thyroxine is a thyroid hormone. Decreased levels often signal hypothyroidism in dogs, while high levels indicate hyperthyroidism in cats.
- Heart Disease TreatmentBlood urea nitrogen (BUN): This test determines kidney function. An increased level is called azotemia and can be caused by kidney, liver and heart disease as well as urethral obstruction, shock or dehydration.
- Kidney Disease TreatmentAlbumin (ALB): This is a serum protein that helps evaluate hydration, hemorrhage and intestinal, liver and kidney disease.
- Periodontal Disease TreatmentDental Care: Our fully-equipped dental suite, knowledge and dental experience allow us to prevent and treat your dog's dental conditions, including periodontal disease
- Dental SurgeryIt's variable as to what your dog will have done and how long it will take them to recover. Most soft tissue surgeries, spays, neuters, and wound repairs take about 10 days for a complete healing period. Some of the other oral surgeries, depending on the level of extraction, can be a week to two weeks. And then some of the more complicated procedures, such as drastic wound repairs and things like that, can require about a two-week recovery.

- DeclawingDeclawing: With a focus on education and compassionate cat care, we can help you decide whether declawing is the right option or whether you should consider alternatives
- Spaying and NeuteringStandard Neutering of the male dog entails removing both testicles from an incision in front of the scrotum. In mature dogs, the post neuter scrotum is empty and viewed unsightly by some individuals. This redundant tissue can be excised/ablated at the time of surgery.

- Laboratory ServicesChisholm Trail Pet Clinic is home to a complete in-house laboratory, which allows us to receive immediate results for pets with emergency or urgent care needs. We also work with an external laboratory that can provide most results within 24 hours for all other types of tests. Lab work is essential before any anesthetic procedure or diagnosis of an illness, but it also aids in the general maintenance of healthy pets.
- X-RayAt Chisholm Trail Pet Clinic, we use state-of-the-art digital radiography. This system is extremely safe and allows us to obtain high-quality diagnostic images much faster than traditional methods. Because the images are digital, we are able to email them for specialty evaluation as well as share the images with our clients.
- Dental RadiologyIn our clinic the standard dental patient has completed pre-anesthesia blood work; received IV catheter placement and IV fluids (if indicated); a thorough oral exam with dental charting; full mouth dental x-rays; treatment as indicated – including extractions with post-extraction sutures, scaling of calculus, polishing of crowns, antibacterial rinse, fluoride application and OraVet application; analgesia (pain control) measures in place for anesthesia recovery; discharge instructions; a follow-up recheck exam in two weeks (if extractions performed) and/or plan for future COHAT scheduling.

- BoardingAt Chisholm Trail Pet Clinic, we offer limited boarding services to our clients with a canine-only boarding area. Our staff is experienced in handling your best friend in a Fear Free manner. We have multiple kennels of different sizes, as well as six 4'x5' runs. All kennels and runs are housed indoor and are climate controlled. They are cleaned multiple times a day, and of course, given fresh food and water.
- GroomingClinic services include wellness care, routine surgeries, in-house digital radiography, ultrasound sonography, full laboratory and pharmacy services (in-house & outside), dental care (dental suite w/ digital dental radiography) and limited boarding & grooming services.
