Douglass Elementary School, located in Boulder, Colo., offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through five. The school offers a variety of programs, such as English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. It also offers reading, writing, spelling, computer education and media studies programs. Douglass Elementary School additionally provides special education, and gifted and talented, and literacy programs. The school offers a library and computer laboratory, and also organizes regular science fairs. It has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
