- Dental ExaminationIf cavities have been discovered during a dental examination, they will need to be immediately treated. This is especially important for cases where the cavity has damaged the tooth enamel and underlying dentin. If cavities are in their early stages and have not affected the dentin, they can be healed or re-mineralized with fluoride.
- X-raysDental x-rays or check-ups or bitewing x-rays, are additional useful options for locating cavities between teeth or beneath the gum-line. These cavities can be almost impossible to detect visually. In some cases, a special disclosing solution is required to diagnose any suspicious areas on the tooth.
- Teeth CleaningMost dental offices may throw a number of unfamiliar and intimidating terms at you. After a teeth cleaning or examination, jargon you may hear can include 3MOD, 5DO, 13MFD, and more. This doesn’t mean your dentist or hygienist is reading off an algebra textbook, but are using shortened abbreviations for dental terms.
- Fluoride Treatment
- Dental SealantsAn office procedure known as sealants can reduce cavities on the occlusal, buccal, and lingual surfaces of the back teeth. This is white resin material that protects the pits and fissures of the tooth, where food particles can be trapped. They are frequently used on children’s teeth to prevent cavities on growing molars.
- FillingsAmalgam fillings have traditional been used for tooth restoration. They are durable and inexpensive, but are considered aesthetically unpleasant and can give teeth a gray appearance. Composite, resin, or white fillings have been prevalent for over two decades. Composite fillings are created form an organic polymer known as bisphenol A-glycidyl methacrylate (BIS-GMA), and inorganic particles such as borosilicate glass, quartz, and lithium aluminum silicate.
- Resin CompositeAesthetic appeal: Non-metal fillings, especially composite resin fillings, match the color of your teeth and therefore looks natural and appealing.
- Veneers2. Dental veneers: Dental veneers are custom-made laminates that go over your natural teeth. They look extremely realistic and can solve numerous cosmetic problems such as crooked teeth, cracked or damaged enamel and noticeable gaps between the two teeth. The veneer is applied to the front of each tooth using a dental adhesive.
- Crowns® method saves time and gives better results by taking advantage of the advanced technology to restore the patient’s teeth with a crown, inlay, or onlay. CEREC
- BridgesPorcelain and other tooth-colored resins have become popular when it comes to restoring teeth, metal is still often the material of choice. However, metal fillings and other dental work can be unsafe for your smile and your general health. Whereas, metal-free crowns and bridges will lead to safer smiles, better appearance, and fewer chances of developing an allergy.
- Dental Bonding4. Composite bonding: Composite bonding refers to the repair of decayed, damaged, or discoloured teeth using material that resembles tooth enamel color. Bonding is an inexpensive cosmetic dentistry procedure to resolve tooth decay, chipped or cracked teeth, and worn-down edges.
- Root Canal TreatmentPatients may experience a surprise when they become aware of a few cavities that have occurred without symptoms. It is more important to treat a small cavity than wait until severe symptoms develop. Once symptoms occur, the cavity may already spread across the dental pulp, which may require a root canal procedure or extraction to resolve.
- ApicoectomyApicoectomy (surgical endodontics): Usually, a root canal is enough to protect an inflamed or infected tooth from removal. Though, at times it may not be sufficient to heal the tooth and the tissues around that site. In such cases, a surgical procedure known as apicoectomy is needed to save the tooth.
- Deep CleaningPeriodontal disease requires multiple rounds of therapy to recover. Scaling and root planing help treating the periodontal disease and would be required in all areas that are affected by the condition. This involves numbing and deep cleaning underneath the gumline to get rid of the infection. In some cases, when the pocket depth is too deep for our instruments to reach, surgery is recommended.
- Dentures® hybrid dentures do not cover the roof of the mouth, allowing the wearer to fully enjoy eating and drinking. Messy creams and adhesives are not needed to secure hybrid dentures in place. Gum irritation is eliminated, the bite strength is increased, allowing for an increased option of foods. Hybrid dentures in Chula Vista promote the quality of life and boost confidence as well.
- Dental ImplantsDental implant restoration is a procedure of replacing missing teeth. Anyone with missing teeth can suffer from a lack of self-confidence. The missing teeth may even affect the way a person speaks. General health may also suffer as eating may be difficult.

- Tooth ExtractionsThere is no doubt that a tooth extraction is an extensive surgical procedure, which merits post-operative care to make sure infections or complications are avoided. One thing that will happen immediately after surgery is the oral specialist will place a gauze pad over the extraction site. This gauze will not be removed for at least 45 minutes.
- Bone GraftingSocket preservation can utilize a collagen plug as a hole filler and a bone grafting procedure to preserve your jaw in the tooth extraction area. This graft can be made of synthetic material, such as bone from other animals or human bone. After your dentist puts the bone graft in your socket, they usually cover it up with a layer of collagen, and then they stitch the tissues near the gum.
