The purpose of my original post was to make people aware of deceptive practices. I have to speak up, once again, to this response. I want to very clear that I do not and would not make up the circumstances involved. I praise businesses that treat people fairly and recognize them for good customer service. Unfortunately, this was not the case in this instance. I was not told anything about the $190 base fee and when I asked what the cost would be. All I was told that it would be based on the number of forms that would be processed. In my past experience, I would have never thought that the forms would amount to $325. As I stated before, my last years’ tax return with the same forms was $100 which had gone up from $95 the previous year. And, YES, my taxes were prepared by a very reputable “Certified Public Accountant” in Joliet. Unfortunately, this year, I chose the location for convenience instead of the best quality service for the best price. I’ve learned a valuable lesson by not researching a company and I don’t want others to make the same mistake.

Do not use unless you want to pay more than you should for tax preparation. I asked for the pricing and was told they couldn't tell me until they submitted the paperwork.. Last year the same filings with another tax firm only cost me $100. What a shock when I had to sign to pick up my return and was charged over $300. I'm a single working person who is on a budget and believe me I don't make that kind of money to be paying out that kind of money. Doesn't the IRS take enough that we have to be robbed by our tax accountants.
