Founded in 1949, Jefferson Elementary School offers various academic and extracurricular activities to students in kindergarten through grade six. The school administers the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). It also offers student programs related to art, music and physical education. Jefferson Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that encourages parental involvement in children s education. In addition, the school offers educational services to students with hearing impairments. It administers the Gifted and Talented Education program (G.A.T.E.), which includes enrichment activities for high-performance students. Jefferson Elementary School is located in Boise, Idaho. The school is a part of the Independent School District of Boise City, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
