We needed 2 15-passenger vans for a week for our church youth group. They were great, accommodating, and available... at pick-up. The quoted rate was reasonable and fair. But we did get burnt on the backside. We picked up on a Sat am at 11am, and would be returning the next Sat... but not before noon, when they close. We knew we would drop off around 2pm. Manager, at pickup said he would work with us. We used the after hours drop off the next Saturday at 2pm. Then the bill came. They charged us for the extra day, since we weren't back before 12pm. Then they charged us another day, since they are not open on Sundays. So we ended up paying 2 extra days for 2 vans, or almost $500 extra. I'm grateful they are not open on Sunday, but its not right that we are charged as if we kept the van all the way to Monday when we returned it Saturday by 2pm. Both Budget and Avis allow returns on Sunday to count as returns on Sunday, so if you have a weekend rental, avoid Enterprise.
