Not 100% happy. They processed 1/2 my deer befor checking to see what I wanted. I requested rib steaks (they call them chops) so only got 1//2 of what I ask for. ( I wonder why they did't call befor they started if they didn't know what I wanted?) I ask for 1# pkgs of hamberger. I got 1.5. why?. I ordered 3# of summer sausage. I ask for it to be pkged in 1# pkgs. I got a 3 # stick. I understand that its made in 3# batches but can't in be put in 1# bags after its made. or the 3# stick cut in thirds? also the wraping was very loose. and riped. could have been a lot better. .70 a # is not bad, I was not informed of the 5.00 disposal fee. I don't see the charge unfair. They did tell me it would be $25. to skin why not tell me $5. to dispose?
Great cuts of meat for the price. Will definately use for my local butcher.
I had taken several wild game animals to this locker. Everything was average at best but better than most places around. Last fall I took to elk to them and the processessing was poor at best. They were rude when I took the game in and the same way when I picked it up. That could somewhat be torrilerated but when I unthawed the game "elk" (over 500 lbs I took in for processessing), it was covered in hair and dirt. They made no effort to clean it up at all. Completely unprofessional. Completely nasty and not edible to a dog. DO NOT waste your money at this place. This is not a BS post, feel free to call me at 816-719-9327 for an even more honest opinion. Save your money and find somewhere else to go!
dear sir: i read your message on the processing of the elk meat that was brought to our facility and this is the way i see it. you were the one who shot the elk therefore you just became the butcher. it is your job to field dress the animal skin it and try to clean it the best way you can. this did not happen. you brought us a product that was a mess. the only thing we could do is trim as much off the pieces you brought. you can not wash something that has already cooled down. plus it is not our job to clean your product. when an animal ia butchered here it is skinned , gutted and wash immediately before it goes in the cooler. that way bacteria does not start growing on the carcass. what you brought us was contaminated before it arrived here and we did the best we could with what we had. as for the rudenss of us i am very sorry for that. it is not the way we approach our customers. if you want to call me on this feel free. thank you jack winter
