Real good home cooked food. Whether you go for breakfast lunch or dinner you are going to get a nice meal at a reasonable price. We like the country style decorating too.

My husband & I went into the cracker Barel today. He was treating me to my Mothers day Dinner, because we couldn't get in on Sun. they were packed. Let me first say this. Cracker is my Favorite place to eat, if we are out & there is one close by that is where i want to go. We have always got good service & good food. Well today is a day I won't forget for a long time. I ordered the Roast Beef dinner & my husband got the Fish special. They brought our food & the Roast & Gravy was smothered in very hot Black Pepper, not your normal papper. So I told them I couldn't eat it, so they offered to let me order something else, So I just ordered what my husband had, & she said she would just bring the mashed Potatoes with the gravy on the side & I said no I don't want the potatoes w/gravy, so I figured they would let me get one more item with the fish but no, they just brought the fish & that was it. So to say the least. I had my most disappointing day at Cracker Barel. Then why I don't know I ordered Blackberry Cobbler for dessert, & I ask her befor I ordered it was it sweet & she said yes ma it is. So they bring it & I had to add about 8 pkgs. or 9 to the blackberries just so I could eat them & I let my husband taste them & he said they were very sour also. So I hope thie will teach someone a lesson, It may very well be the last time I step into a cracker barel.I truly loved going there.
