If you go to Avvo he has bad reviews on that site also. That one good review seems staged it's on here and avvo.This is the worst Attorney in bloomington/normal he has taken my rights away. I'm making compliants on him for being unethical. If you want to win, then get another attorney. He will do cases for free so he can get government money but don't fight for you, this will cause you to lose personal property. His staff one of them that he said calls back is rude. He will tell you how to dress going to court but I didn't need his help on a dress code but his staff needs a dress code and manners. Don't be a fool, be smart stay away from scott Kording if you want to win.. He's a young attorney that don't know what he's doing.

idon't usually post on these kinds of sites but after i read the other 2 reviews i had to. my experience with mr. kording was COMPLETELY different than the earlier posts which look like they were posted by the same person. i talked with three other lawyers about my case but mr. kording was the only one who would listen. i was referred to him by the domestic violence people at the courthouse. i later learned that he volunteered for years in representing women who were abused and he did it without charging them. he gave me a free hour and he did not talk about his fee until the end. it was nice to have a conversation with a lawyer who took time and did not pressure me as opposed to the others who would not listen to me unless i said up front that i could afford their fees. also mr. kordings hourly charge was much lower than what all three other lawyers said and he also asked for $500 less up front than the lowest up front charge of any other i talked to. he won my case and was very fair. i liked that he took time to explain things to me and answer my questions. i have recommended him to other friends and family and my relative also was happy with his service. if i had to say a complaint it would be that he was in court a lot and not available during the day when i called. usually he called me right back that night but if he was gone or in court then his parlegal would call me back. i would definitly use him again.

I had unusual circumstance for my daughters name change. They were helpful, fast, and inexpensive.

RETAINING MY RECORDS,DESPITE REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO HAVE THEM SENT BACK TO ME. NOT EVEN A CLIENT AS THEY HAVE BEEN REVIEWING(?)MY CASE.HAVE HAD MY RECORDS FOR OVER 2 1/2 MONTHS.AND DON'T EVEN RETURN MY PHONE CALLS. OBVIOUSLY NOT AS CONCERNED ABOUT TIME LIMITS TO A CASE,EVEN THOUGH THAT IS A MAJOR FACTOR. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM, SUGGEST PEOPLE LOOK ELSEWHERE.
