General Info
Reading Therapeutic Services works successfully with all levels of students, from elementary through college-level and adult professional development. Cindy Scharg specializes in learning challenges as it relates to the reading process. Reading Therapeutic Services does not work with individuals who are developmentally challenged. Focus is on comprehension and cognition. Cindy Scharg is trained in rehabilitation and utilizes many neurologically based strategies to help students who have sought help in the past (through schools and/or outside agencies) but have not yet become successful, independent readers. Unlike traditional tutoring, reading therapy analyzes how each student learns printed information, evaluates the discrepancies, and re-patterns the brain in order to interpret text proficiently.
