Nate White has been the proud owner of this family-owned business in Blakeslee/Long Pond Pocono Raceway/Effort area for over 14 years. He works tirelessly alongside his wife Susan. They know what their customers like, and they cater to please! Everyone that walks in the restaurant or bar is their friend-or soon to be friend. Nate’s insistence of fresh ingredients are derived from growing up on his family’s farm in Costa Rica. Nate bakes and cooks on a daily basis-no canned goods or processed foods here! The freshly-baked warm bread is one of Nate’s favorite things to make. He is well-known around the area for his delicious hot soups and award-winning chili. Some of Nate’s other iconic dishes include mouth-watering Baby-Back Ribs; 1/2 pound Hamburgers; Chicken dishes; and much more! Woody’s Country House is a great get-together place for both locals and visitors. The TV is always on in the bar area, broadcasting the latest sporting events.
