Dr. Helms is awesome and very knowledgeable!!! I live about 45 minutes from his office but that is the only place I will take my family. His prices are reasonable and he is honest...once I was unaware that I overpaid and he sent me a check in the mail, it was an unexpected blessing!!! His staff is friendly and they are usually pretty good about getting you in quickly. Also I have 4 children whom they see in the same day which helps me out a lot. Dr. Helms is also good about giving you your script in case you want to go elsewhere for frames, but I've found that he can normally get you better quality for about the same price anyways. The only downfall is Dr. Helms is getting older and I don't know where we will go when he decides to retire but thankfully I don't have to think about that right now

Dr Helms is the best and his staff is wonderful!!!! Ive been going to him for the past 9 years and I couldnt ask for a better eye dr...to the person below me that wrote the bad review, maybe ur the problem because I always request a copy of my glasses and contact prescription and I always get it...without and problems or hesitation. Dr Helms even volunteers to order glasses that u might see somewhere and also tries to get u a discount rate on them....u cant beat that....Dr Helms and staff...keep up the good work

I think Dr. Helms is ripping off his patients. He won't let you take your script anywhere else to get frames cheaper. He doesn't wear gloves when he examines your eyes. Even if you show signs of infection. Bipolar bedside manor. His staff are uninformed lay people that have chips on their shoulders. But its close to home.

Dr. Helms is the best! I am 29 and he is the only eye doctor I have ever been to see. I travel 2 hours from my current residence to have him do my eye exams and fit me for glasses each year. I can't wait for my daughter to have her first exam with him. He has been our family eye doctor since the 80's.

Dr. Helms and his staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them and have been going there for years.
