I trust nobody except for Four Paws to care for my dogs!
Zero stars, negative stars - if it were possible for a review. My family took our 4 year old (sweet as a dog could ever be) shepherd here for boarding for three days just after Christmas in 2014. When we picked her up from Four Paws Inn - Bismarck, her paws were covered with crusted feces and urine. Deplorable. Unbelievable. Do NOT bring your pets here for any reason. I called them today asking for a manager and was told that she would call me back tomorrow. Regardless of the conversation we may or may not have, there is NO - NO possible excuse for this being tolerable or acceptable at any level, for any reason. I am completely and utterly disgusted.
i.eI just want to warn everybody I know that cares about their pets to NEVER take them to FOUR PAWS in Bismarck. We took Jesse there & it was horrible. We had written a note explaining what he needed, along with telling them when we got there. They didn?t feed him any of his canned food or medicine that we brought. We left him some toys, some shirts of ours & a bed, which were all right outside the kennel drenched in urine, they didn?t even bother to put down the bed that they have built it for him, so God knows how long he had to lay on cold concrete. He was drenched urine so bad & stunk so bad that we had to drive 80 miles home with the back windows down. How they can sleep at night is beyond me. Didn?t feed him any of his treats either. We will be turning them in to whoever we can. ., A local favorite, or highly recommended because
Not Impressed. I have boarded my dogs numerous times, and moved to the Bismarck area last year. I tried this place because it looked ok and toured it and thought it would be ok. HOWEVER, when I picked up my dogs after a week they looked scared, not healthy, and I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. The staff looked nervous at the counter and told me my female dog had a spot/scrape on her head that they weren't sure how she got it. I told them it probably wasn't anything...but when I got my dogs in the car and looked closer--AH! She had a gash in her head almost an inch long and a half inch wide and very deep--say over a 1/4 in deep. It needed to be attended to by a VET and THEY HAD NOT CALLED ME to let me know and NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I freaked! She's okay, but it gave me a bad scare. I have NEVER experienced anything so bad in boarding my dogs. DO NOT go to this place. Look elsewhere for a boarding place.

I used to go to Four Paws but things have changed a lot and not for the good. Meds are not being given, cages are not properly cleaned between pets. Food and water not adequate. Over booked so pets do not have proper sleeping quarters. I have yet to see a personal belonging that I sent with my dog the last time we boarded her. I used to recommend this place but now I dissuade people from going to you. Shame on you get a new manager and people who REALLY care about pets.
