American Educational Institute, in operation since 1982, provides educational programs for medical, legal and dental professionals. The institute offers two accredited medical, dental and legal courses and has more than 30 classrooms. Its courses help the professionals identify common office-based medical errors and ways to prevent them, keep accurate and complete medical records and identify opportunities and risks associated with ambulatory surgery centers. Its courses also help to identify ways to increase office automation without purchasing an electronic medical record system, implement cost control techniques and identify the diagnostic criteria and various treatment options for HIV and AIDS. Its courses are approved by the dental boards of Florida, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota and also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. The institute is based in Birmingham, Mich.
