VAE Nortrak is among three wholly-owned subsidiaries operated by VAE Nortrak North America. The company manufactures railroad and transit trackwork. In addition, the company supplies railroad track material to the railroad industrial market. In 1981,VAE Nortrak North America was established as Nortrak Railway Supply Limited in Richmond, BC, Canada. The VAE Nortrak plant was completed in 1992 and is located in Birmingham, Ala. The company s main capabilities are in the designs and manufacture of trackwork/turnout including frogs, switches and special layouts, for customers that include industrial and class 1 railroads. In addition, the company supplies and distributes rail, trackwork and other track materials from inventories across North America. It also supplies and manufactures transit trackwork for conventional and streetcar systems. The company is registered to ISO 9001 standards.
