      Generation Dog is not just a retail boutique, it's also a community of like-minded individuals who love their dogs. Whether you are 6, 16, or 60, you can be a member of Generation Dog. The only qualification is a love of dogs and a passion for treating them as part of the family. Generation Dog's mission is to make sure that dogs are provided with the environment and stimulation they need to still be dogs - even though they may be our "babies." We also want to rally the dog-loving community and have some fun in the process! Those who count themselves as part of "Gen Dog" would rather watch dogs playing at a dog park than cable TV. They revel in the sight of a puppy licking the ice cream off a child's face and feel a secret joy when their dog meets them at the door with a smile on his face and a spring in his step. Generation Dog is about the loss you feel when you realize that your dog won't be around forever, and about the possibilities ahead when you first bring that new puppy through your door. Generation Dog will celebrate this spirit with the mantra "Where Dogs are Family." Our family is even featured on our web site. Generation Dog offers a variety of products to fit in any budget or climate. There are high-end items for those who crave designer chic, but there are also items for those who want to spoil their babies without breaking the bank. Categories of products include gourmet treats to satisfy the most finicky canine appetite, interactive toys designed to stimulate and entertain, unique bowls and feeders that make mealtime fun and fashionable, cuddly beds for those dog day afternoons, carriers for the canine on the go, and a variety of collars, leashes and apparel for every occasion. Generation Dog has something for everyone - human or canine! Generation Dog owner Catherine Bres spent years wishing that she could bring her lovable Rottweiller Sasha to work with her each day. Unfortunately, it was only after Sasha passed away and Catherine moved from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina that she decided to pursue a career that would allow her to bring her dogs to work. Generation Dog's first brick and mortar store front opened March 30, 2007 in the upscale shopping district of Downtown Homewood, Alabama. In addition to the boutique, the Rub-a-Dub Dog Bath House & Spa also opened on the premises to offer a stress-free alternative to the usual grooming experience. Generation Dog also operates www.barkandrollpetstrollers.com, a site dedicated to finding the right stroller for your little bark and rollers! So now, not only can Catherine bring her own dogs to work, but she gets to spend her days with other people's dogs too!
