Took my new RV in for warranty work on August 2015 for very hard starting Onan 4K generator. They locked in on assuming it was not being run enough and supposedly replaced fuel pump. After a year of fighting this issue, cranking it 10 or more times and running it 2 hours a month as suggested, it still was just as hard to start. After searching youtube, etc. I discovered the choke lever was maybe sticking.Maneuvered it with my finger and it immediately started and has been starting 1st or 2nd try ever since.

Nice enough but nice don't fix the issue. I had a leaking lift pump on my 8.3 ISC diesel. They attempted to put the wrong lift pump on the unit and actually tried to use parts of my old pump to make it work. THEN aha they realized they had the wrong pump after I got their and found the issue. A 1/2 day job took 2 days. But they did finally get it right. Not overly confident on their abilities.

I carried my truck with 38000 miles on it with a red stop engine light on. They scanned it and got a coolant sensor code, so they replaced the sensor without test driving the truck or testing the sensor at a cost of $750. The light came back on two weeks later and I topped off the coolant and the light went off. Then it came on again so I Filled it with coolant and the light went off again. It had a slow coolant leak. They felt no remorse for missing the real problem and charged $570. to replace a $2. hose. Then going down I59 my hood started shaking. The hood was unlatched, which makes me wonder if the mechanic was through with his final check. I guess that I will carry it to real mechanic and have it checked before I get on the road again!!
