For the most part the Nurses, CNA's and Physical Therapist are good. However, management is rude, deceitful and down right incapable of doing there job. There is a little click of management that if you don't belong to, you don't matter. There are a lot of members of the administrators family working there and they get top priority. The billing department is not understanding at ALL! I know they need money to operate but they do not understand that most of the residents are on a fixed income and they want payment in full prior to services rendered. Dealing with management has been a nightmare. I would LOVE to speak with the owner before I carry my complaints to State!

The staff of birmingham Nursing and Rehab is the worst staff i've ever in countered. If I did'nt go and check on my mother every day I really don't think that they would change her.One time they didn't even have diapers for the patients, but they make sure that your payments are made on time.I believe that most of the staff is not qualified to hold the postions that they are in.The food that they serve (if you want to call it food) is lest then good. The food use to be a whole lot better, but once there old dietary mgr Stacy left and they hired that new lady it has been down hill every since.Would I tell people about this nursing home yes ,but it's not because of the care it would be to warn them about the care.Taking mother out and bring her home.

Wonderful CNAs and Nurses however mgt is not what it should be. I was told by a mgr that they staffed with less assistants that required. She thought she was reassuring me. The lack of staff was led to assistants and nursing being terribly over worked. Unless a family member comes by everyday Mother gets less attention than she requires and deserves. Last weekend we had to purchase and provide her basic needs because the supply room was locked and they could not provide diapers. They do not meet the dietary requirements for mother's special needs reguardlesss of how often we talk to the . We are in the process of working to get Mother home so that she will receive the care she deserves.
