I stopped in during a day trip to Amish country. This shop is amazing! There is a wide variety of spinning supplies, books, roving and yarn. The shop owner dyes and spins a lot of the yarn and roving (and I believe much of the fiber comes from the owner's own animals), so the colorways are unique and quite lovely. I purchased a gorgeous hand-dyed merino/wool mix and even in just the process of winding the ball I could see how nicely spun and how lovely the hand is for this yarn. I can't wait to see how it knits up! It's a two hour drive from where I live to get to this shop, but I have to admit I'm tempted to drive back there to get more of the fantastic one-of-a-kind yarns!

after being in Lancaster a lot of times, finally stopped in, wish we found it 5 years ago, so many wonderful items, very friendly place can't wait to go back . Already have told tons of friends back here in NJ

Labadie looms steps away from the fast paced commercialized lifestyle and into a quaint cozy setting where pride is taken in doing things by hand with local goods. We are proud to provide OUR customers with local fibers and yarns. We even know some of the sheep. Goats and alpacas OUR fibers come from and love them dearly. We offer lessons in weaving. Spinning. Felting and knitting.
