Port Dickinson Elementary School is affiliated with the Chenango Valley Central Schools. It is a prekindergarten through third grade school that serves more than 500 students. The school offers a wide range of instructions, including computers, art, music, library and physical education. It also provides reading and language arts program. The school s math and reading series programs use Harcourt Brace, the program that aligns with the New York State Standards. The school also offers many academic programs, including reading recovery, early literacy, remedial math, gateway and accelerated reader, and teacher intervention programs. Port Dickinson Elementary School s parent-teacher association includes parents, teachers and staff members. It organizes family nights, class picture day, fundraisers, toy drive, book fairs, dances and slide shows.
