Community Options utilizes technology and training to develop residential and employment supports for people with severe disabilities. The national agency has participated in institutional closure and community residential placement for thousands of people throughout several states. It does not administer any large congregate programs, recognizing that people with the most severe disabilities need environments, equipment, clinical and staff support tailored to specific needs. Community Options provides housing, support services and advocacy assistance to help empower people with disabilities. The agency helps people find jobs, join clubs, establish homes and take trips. It is based in Binghamton, N.Y.
