Dave Drum founded Kampgrounds of America in 1962 in Billings, Mont. It is one of the world s largest systems of family-oriented campgrounds, with 500 facilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Japan. The company offers toll-free reservations, clean restrooms, playgrounds and pools, and a variety of lodging options from level recreational vehicle sites to its exclusive Kamping Kabins. Its RV services include large, level sites with pull thrus available at most campgrounds, and hookup options for all types of RVs, from compact van conversions to luxury motor homes with slideouts. The RV sites also provide walking areas for pets, extended patio sites with extra amenities at some locations, full-service laundry facilities and 50-amp service at many sites.
