Dr. DeMars was raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin and moved to Billings with his family in 1979. He graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. After a podiatric surgical residency at the VA Medical Center in Albuquergue, NM, he started his Billings practice in 1988. In 1993, Dr. DeMars joined Dr. O'Reilly to form Rimrock Podiatry. Dr. Demars is a past president of the Montana Podiatric Medical Association, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has privileges at St Vincent Hospital and Yellowstone and Northern Rockies surgery centers in Billings. Dr. DeMars also sees patients at the Mountainview Clinic in Red Lodge. Dr. DeMars has two sons, Brandon, who attends MSU Billings and Ryan who is attending MSU Bozeman. Dr. DeMars is an avid big game hunter and also enjoys backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
