City Administrator s office is created by the charter of the City of Billings in Montana. It executes policies established by city council and administers the affairs of the city. The administrator s office also communicates the needs of city, staff and other government agencies by providing information to city council for action and policy guidelines. City Administrator s office also presents a balanced budget to council. The City of Billings operates administration, airport, parking, police, fire, animal shelter, information technology, municipal court, public works and human resources departments. It undertakes street maintenance, engineering, landfill, leaf collection, transportation, trash collection and community development services.
