Established in 1968, Pathmark operates more than 140 supermarkets in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. It employs over 27,000 associates. Headquartered in Carteret, N.J., Pathmark is one of the leading regional supermarket chains in the United States. The company offers grocery, meat, dairy, deli, bakery, nonfoods, frozen foods, seafood, pharmacy and floral products. With one of the stores located in Edgewater, N.J., Pathmark partners with Wild Oats Markets and offers more than 150 different natural and organic products, including specialty products, such as imported Italian sodas, balsamic vinegar, organic fruit spreads and flatbread crackers. In addition, it operates a club called Pathmark Pharmacy Advantage Club, which treats a variety of medical conditions in different categories, including allergies, asthma, cardiac problems, cold and cough, thyroid, diabetes and the Parkinson s disease.
