Slopeswap was created by Mandi and Steve Dyner in 2020, a couple who'd spent numerous years vacationing with their two kids in Mammoth Lakes, California. Before each ski trip as duffles were pulled out to be packed, Mandi had always wished that there was a store where she could buy used ski clothing for her growing children. Knowing consignment shops and sustainable businesses were on the rise, Mandi and Steve felt that there could be a business model for second hand ski and snowboard clothing, not only for kids, but for Men and Women as well.
