  Before joining ART, Dr. Barritt was previously responsible for all Laboratory Direction of Embryology, Andrology and Endocrinology at The Reproductive Center in Ohio and for Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York. He has held the academic position of Clinical Instructor with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York for more than 10 years.

Radiologist

• Ultrasound
  Following light sedation of the patient, an ultrasound machine is used to visualize, locate and retrieve individual eggs from the ovarian follicles. The samples (also known as follicular aspirates) are passed directly from the operating room to the embryology laboratory, where they are examined for eggs.
