Founded in 1742, the Moravian Academy is a coeducational school that provides learning opportunities to more than 700 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, chemistry, history, biology, fine arts and physical education. The academy offers a range of activities, including cross-country, field hockey, golf, tennis, basketball, soccer and softball. Moravian Academy is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools. It also organizes special programs in theater arts and vocal and instrumental music. The academy additionally features various dance, dramatic, orchestra, jazz band, gymnastic and poetry contests and performances. Moravian Academy maintains educational institutes in Bethlehem, Pa.
