Founded in 1991, Total Wine & More is a chain of retail stores that offer approximately 8,000 varieties of wine, 2,000 types of spirits and 1,000 different beers. Its stores range in size from 9,000 to 50,000 square feet. The company employs 800-plus people, including more than 300 wine professionals. Its sales of bottles of wine, which represent nearly half of the company s sales, are in excess of 24 million bottles per year. The company maintains more than 40 locations in several states, including Delaware, Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virgina. Total Wine & More operates a support center in Potomac, Md.
