0 stars. I only put any stars because Yelp made me. Anyone thinking about placing their loved one in one of Devereux's Chester County's group homes had better do their homework about what might happen to their loved one at the end of their life. For while Devereux's website promises to care for your loved one from the time they enter their program until they leave this earth, that is not the case. Only a small number of wealthy families can be assured of continued care at Devereux. Residents who pay Devereux a limited amount, for example, $1,000 per month Social Security disability will be kicked to the curb and their families will have to quickly make some kind of arrangements with a nursing home in the community while the residents who paid a lot more, will be taken care of right on Devereux's campus with 24 hour care. They do not tell you this when your child enters their care. I was told to come and get him in two months or they would leave him on my doorstep. My son died two months later in a nursing home full of sick elderly people. He had contracted pneumonia while still living at Devereux and I would never have known how sick he was if I hadn't gone there that day to take him out for the day. Instead we called 911 and he was hospitalized with double pneumonia. There is no question that I could have sued them for neglect and poor treatment. My son was 48 years old. Beware.
