Due to the growth of my business, I determined that it was time to purchase a server and manage the site myself. On November 14, 2008, I contacted 1&1 to request the simplest of tasks. I wanted them to unlock my domain name, switch my domain name registry setting from Private to Public, and allow me to transfer MY domain name. It has been 21 days since that request took place and still I have nothing. My site is down.I am losing $10000 a day. I have been forced to layoff 5 employees at absolutely no fault of their own. I have filed formal complaints with Internic, ICANN, and retained the services of a well known attorney that is considered a pioneer in Internet law. Limited responses to email.Will not address billing errors (I'm still trying to get my bank and credit cards problems sorted out. FWIW I've been trying to move my host and domain registration accounts from 1and1.com for months. Still no joy.
