Berkeley Streets and Utilities Division is a part of the Department of Public Works. It provides strategic planning, policy formulation, budget administration, human resources management, payroll processing and the management of information system services. The division offers removal services for hazardous wastes, trashes, rubbish, oil, litters and greases. It also wastewater removal services for equipment, mats, surfaces and drainage systems. Berkeley Streets and Utilities Division administers a clean city program that offers healthy and safety services and environmental regulations for protecting roads, sidewalks and drains. The division responds to more than 2,500 calls in flood affected areas.
