Arkin Tilt Architects is an architectural firm specializing in ecological planning and design. Based in Berkeley, Calif., the company's project portfolio includes residential/commercial construction, park buildings, religious facilities and eco-resort planning and design. It also specializes in alternative construction systems, including straw-bale and rammed earth, renewable energy systems, greywater and non-toxic as well as recycled materials. Arkin Tilt Architects has completed numerous projects, such as Hidden Villa Youth, Portal San Miguel Yoga Center, Gaut-Camarillo Residence and Eastern Sierra Residence. The company is the recipient of the 2008 Builder's Choice Awards.
