I have used a cleaning person or service for over ten years now. My regular cleaning person was unable to come one week so I needed to hire a service. Given the great reviews I read about Lorie Stuart Cleaning, I had high hopes it would be better than most services (Merry Maid, Molly Maid, etc.). They definitely charge a premium above these other services and they claim to be very detailed and thorough cleaners. They did a fine job, but nothing above and beyond. Some things were not cleaned at all (like the front of my oven), other things looked pretty good (like my glass shower doors). Lorie Stuart is pretty much what you would expect from a cleaning service, nothing more. In fact, it was somewhat less in that this was the first service I hired that did not follow up after the cleaning to check how they did. I give other services credit on that front that someone has always followed up with me to check my satisfaction. Lorie Stuart cleaning seemed to not really care if I was happy or not. They received their $130 for my 1700 sq. ft. house and were gone. The two women cleaning were nice enough, but again, for the increased cost above other services, I would never recommend them or use them again. Save yourself the extra money and use someone else.
