- Established in 1951, the Bensalem Township Police Department is administered by the government of Bensalem Township in Pennsylvania. The department is responsible for maintaining law and order and providing crime prevention and investigation services. It is one of the largest police departments in Buck County in Pennsylvania. The Bensalem Township Police Department administers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program in several schools. The department also coordinates a youth volunteer group that assists the department in various daily activities. It has more than 100 staff members and operates K-9 and motorcycle, motor patrol, special victims, domestic violence and crime prevention units.
