Southern Vermont College, located in Bennington, Vt., offers liberal arts education to students. The college has an enrollment of more than 500 students and has a student-faculty ratio of 11-to-1. It offers more than 20 academic programs offering a range of subjects, such as philosophy, math, algebra, environmental issues, biology, anatomy and physiology, American history and mass communications. Its other subjects comprise creative writing, arts, humanities, criminal justice, psychology, sociology and global issues. Southern Vermont College also offers a variety of sports activities, including baseball, basketball, cross country, rugby, soccer, softball and volleyball. The institution, located on a more than 370-acre campus, additionally offers career-oriented internships, workshops and degree programs.
