Established in 1900, MedStar Health Visiting Nurse Association provides a wide range of health care services. It has a professional staff of nurses, therapists, social workers, home health aides, nutritionists and volunteers. It provides a variety of home care services, such as skilled nursing, nutrition counseling, and occupational, physical and speech therapies. It also offers specialty care programs that include wound and ostomy care, cardiology, oncology, pediatrics, respiratory therapy, and rehabilitation for stroke and joint replacements. Additionally, it offers a full range of physician-prescribed services, including chemotherapy, enteral therapy, hydration, pain management and total parenteral nutrition. MedStar Health Visiting Nurse Association also provides assistance with the activities of daily living and is located in Calverton, Md.
