Whatcom Educational Credit Union, located in Bellingham, Wash., is a member-owned, nonprofit financial cooperative. The credit union offers a range of services, such as savings, checking and business accounts, Visa debit and credit cards, free online banking and payment of bills. It also offers certificates, individual retirement accounts, financial education, payment protection, wire transfers and payroll services. Additionally, it offers a full-service call center and online check reordering services. Online check reordering saves time with access to bank transactions on the Internet. The credit union also offers access to free personal finance information and counseling six days a week.
