History established in 1983The founding Doctor, Jon Bosland, started practice in Bellevue in 1969. He moved the practice to its current location in 1983. Dr. Chris Barry joined in 1993, Dr. William Prothero in 2001, and Dr. Mary Coday in 2006. Dr. Bosland retired in 2005. And he thoroughly enjoys it! Medical knowledge and technology is constantly moving forward. We work to bring the most effective technology into our office and to stay abreast of the most effective diagnostic and therapeutic developments. Overlake EyeCare supports and our docs’ volunteer. Chris Barry OD, Mary Coday MD and William Prothero OD are the doctors at Overlake EyeCare. Dr. Barry joined the practice in '93 and has a special interest in glaucoma and dry eye. Dr. Prothero joined in '01 and also has a special interest in glaucoma and dry eyes. Dr. Coday joined in '05 and has special interest in cataract surgery and glaucoma, and is president elect of her state association. Dr. Barry and Dr. Prothero donate eye care services for Vision USA as well as providing care for homeless people in Western Washington. Dr. Barry does volunteer work internationally.
