- Dental CareSaresa was born and raised in Washington state and knew at a very young age she wanted to work helping animals. Starting out in 1998 she worked for many years as an assistant while working with small animals, some exotics, and learning her passion for small animal dentistry. After obtaining her VTNE in 2008 she expanded her experience with working in specialties such as ophthalmology and surgery and gained deeper knowledge in anesthesia.
- VaccinationMost office appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, with new puppy exams requiring 60 minutes. This allows us ample time to obtain a detailed history, thoroughly evaluate your pet, and provide you with diagnostic and treatment options while addressing your concerns. We pay attention to your pet’s life stage, recommending any appropriate health screens. In addition, we address behavioral problems, training issues, and look at the pet’s role as a member of your family. We strongly believe in the importance of vaccination to prevent serious infectious diseases. We will recommend an appropriate protocol based on your pet’s health profile and lifestyle in order to avoid over vaccinating.

- Behavioral CounselingSarah was born and raised in Washington and spent almost all of her time exploring the outdoors as a kid. Growing up, she loved learning about animals. One of her favorite things to do was to have friends and family quiz her on animal breeds. Sarah knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals, so naturally her first job was pet sitting. Once old enough, she volunteered at a shelter and eventually joined the “Pittie Committee” which was a team that specialized in “dangerous” breeds or dogs with behavioral problems. She enjoyed connecting with these dogs and would love to join this team again in the future.
- Nutritional CounselingMany health conditions can be helped by diet modification and appropriate nutritional supplements. Urinary tract and kidney problems, food allergies, liver disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, gastrointestinal problems, and weight management are among the conditions that can be tremendously affected by dietary changes. We carry a full line of prescription diets to address various medical conditions and can recommend the right diet for your pet.

- Laboratory ServicesAt AHoF we are able to provide a broad spectrum of services to our patients who require in-hospital care. While we are not a 24-hour Emergency Hospital with a doctor available on-site around the clock, we are able to hospitalize patients and monitor them via state of the art, web-based, remote monitoring and, if needed, in-person check-ups. We offer IV fluid therapy and IV nutritional support, feeding tubes, blood transfusions, oxygen therapy, constant-rate drug infusions, and other services. Our in-house laboratory equipment provides rapid results, allowing us to offer excellent urgent care for your pet without unnecessary delays.
- X-Ray
- Dental RadiologyAs part of the annual physical exam, we evaluate your pet’s oral health and devise a preventive care plan. If needed, dental cleaning will be recommended. This cleaning, known as Dental Prophylaxis, includes scaling, polishing, and fluoride-rinsing of the teeth. We will advise you on the appropriate type of professional dental prophylaxis for your pet, such as anesthetic dental vs. preventive non-anesthetic dental. Dental x-rays can be taken to assess your pet’s oral health and to help us recommend an effective treatment plan. Extractions and various oral surgical procedures are done routinely at our facility. For your convenience, pets may be dropped off in the morning and picked up later in the day.
